.: EXPERIENCE OF SANCHEZ GRANEL INGENIERIA :.

The activity of SANCHEZ GRANEL INGENIERIA S.A. started at the end of 1952 when its founder, Engineer Eduardo Sánchez Granel, undertook the construction of the urban pavement in the city of Córdoba, Argentina. Since then, it began a successful corporate life and a permanent development, based on the policy of reinvesting profits. Through all this time the corporation has been granted different awards and distinctions. Some of them for its projects and other for the fulfilment of its obligations. However, the best reward to the members of the board of directors has been their participation in the main public works and the acknowledgementof their colleagues and clients for their contribution on the development of the national construction industry.

» Since 1953, SANCHEZ GRANEL has constructed urban pavements of concrete and asphalt in more than 4,000,000 sq.m.

» At the begining of the 60´s, this company started sewer works in tunnels. Up to date it has tunneled storm_water drains up to 4m diameter and underground rivers up to 4,60m interior diameter. It is worth mentioning that the company has constructed more than 40 km of tunnel and positively this company is the most experiences corporation in this area.

» In 1967 the company started its activities in highways when it first constructed the 5th Section of Acceso Norte (Nothern Access) to the Capital City. Afterwards, it constructed two sections of Acceso Oeste (Western Access) to the Capital City and Acceso Sur (Southern Access) to the city of Mendoza. These works included the building of 40 traffic bridges and more than 5.000.000 cy.m earth moving.

» The company designed and executed diverssing overpass sach as the crossroad of routes 1 and 2 in Florencio Varela and the crossroad on the Acceso Norte of the route Boulogne - San Fernando.
Route 55 in Salta, the access to Mar del Plata airport (access road, parking, lightning) and the bridge across Juramento River (Salta) are also constructions that must be mentioned.

» The company also built 9 schools under turnkey contracts and carried out the design, construction and operation of the underground parking E06 "Clínicas", both for the city of Buenos Aires. This work which was executed according to public work concession system, is the largest in argentina (1.000 places) With these contracts the corporation started its activities in architectural works.

» In the mining field, the company carried out the Argentina´s biggest mining projects of the 80´s. In fact, it has contracted with National Comission of Atomic Energy (C.N.E.A.) the prospection, exploration, extraction and concentration of uranium minerals, at "Los Gigantes", in the province of Córdoba. For that purpose the company executed the basic engineer, mounting, financing, starting-up and training of the staff. The company has executed more than 50,000 mts of exploration, and more than 3,000,000 tons of rock-blasting.
The company´s activity, after some years, has been extended to the international field. It has entered into contracts in Perú and Chile and participated in international biddings in Paraguay and Brasil. Associated to foreign companies of United States and Brasil it also participated in international biddings.
